Listing your shop on WenAwfar: what we need, and what happens next

A practical walkthrough for Lebanese merchants — what listing actually involves, what we pull from Google Maps, how pricing works, and what changes once you're live.

Most shop owners we talk to assume getting listed means an afternoon of typing product names into a form. It doesn't. Here is what actually happens, start to finish, so you can decide whether it's worth your time.

What we need from you

Three things: the name of your business, how to reach you, and what kind of shop it is. That's the entire request form. We ask for branch count because a chain and a single shop get set up differently, but if you have one shop you leave it at 1 and move on.

We don't ask for your catalogue up front. That's the part people dread, and it's the part we do for you.

What we find ourselves

Once you're in, we pull your branches, opening hours, phone number and storefront photos from Google Maps. If your shop is already on the map — and almost every Lebanese shop is — that's your listing mostly built before you've typed anything.

For supermarkets, pharmacies and phone shops, we also already track a large catalogue of the products you probably carry. Where we can match what you sell to something we already know about, you inherit the product name, image, brand and full label — nutrition, ingredients, country of origin — without uploading a thing. You set prices. We handle the rest of the row.

How pricing works

You set your own prices, per branch if they differ. Nothing is auto-adjusted, nothing is marked up, and we never change a number on your behalf.

What we do is show your price next to everyone else's for the same item. That is the uncomfortable part, and it is also the whole point: the cheapest shop wins the click. If you are cheaper on something, you stop needing to advertise it. If you are more expensive, you find out before your customers do.

Not every shop sells the same way

A supermarket sells from a shelf. A barber takes bookings. A phone repair shop quotes a job from a photo. A gym sells memberships and classes. You switch on whichever of those fits, and the app changes shape to match — you are not forced into a shopping-cart model that has nothing to do with how your business works.

What changes once you're live

You start showing up in searches from people who are already looking for exactly what you sell, near where you are. Orders, bookings and quote requests come into one inbox. You get to see where you sit against the market on every item you carry — where you're cheapest, where you're not, and what price would win it.

What it costs

Listing is free. No setup fee, no commission on orders, no contract, no advertising spend. We make money from optional merchant subscriptions for the deeper analytics, and from nothing else. If you never upgrade, your listing keeps working.

How long it takes

Send the request and we reply within 48 hours. Setup is usually a single conversation plus whatever time you want to spend checking that the prices we've got are the prices you charge.

The consumer app is launching soon. Shops that are listed before then are the ones people find on day one.
